A Holistic Approach to Digital Schools! The Digital Pact 2.0 is the successor to the first Digital Pact and will provide 5 billion euros nationwide through 2030 for the digital modernization of schools. What’s new is the more holistic perspective: the focus is not just on infrastructure, but also on reliable operations and the further development of teaching and learning. The concrete implementation will be carried out by the states and school authorities.

Start-Up Opportunities Program
Strengthening modern learning environments where they are most needed! The Startchancen program supports approximately 4,000 schools nationwide with a high proportion of socially disadvantaged students. The federal and state governments are jointly investing approximately 20 billion euros over ten years to achieve this. The goal is to promote greater equality of opportunity by strengthening basic skills, supporting school development, and improving learning conditions.

SUPPORT ACROSS BAVARIA
Maintenance and Care Allowance
Ensuring that school IT runs reliably in the long term! Starting in 2025, municipal and private school authorities in Bavaria will receive legally mandated grants for the technical administration, maintenance, and upkeep of school digital infrastructure. These grants will be administered by the State Office for Schools. The focus is thus clearly on the ongoing operation of existing or newly installed digital school technology.

SUPPORT PROGRAM FOR SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED ENTERPRISES IN BAVARIA
Bavaria Digital Bonus
Grants for Digitalization and IT Security! The Bavarian Digital Bonus supports small businesses in the commercial sector with a physical location in Bavaria in their digital transformation and IT security measures. Depending on the project, eligible initiatives include digitalization projects and IT security measures. The funding rate is up to 50 percent. The Digital Bonus Standard offers up to 7,500 euros, while the Digital Bonus Plus offers up to 30,000 euros for projects with a high degree of innovation.
Who is eligible to apply?
- Small businesses with a place of business in Bavaria
- Up to 50 employees
- Annual revenue or total assets of no more than 10 million euros
- Business enterprise as defined by the Trade Tax Act
